LM Office Closed Thanksgiving

The church office will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. The office will reopen Monday morning, Nov. 30.

Food and Fellowship

Food and Fellowship will meet at the Dardanelles Mediterranean Restaurant at 1851 Monroe Street on Saturday, November 21 at 6:30 pm. The Dardanelles explores the land and seas of the Mediterranean basin, from Spain and Italy to Turkey and North Africa. All are welcome. Please RSVP Bill or Judy Braham at 238-7995 before Wednesday, November 18 if you are coming.

Gifts for Transitional Families

The Christmas Gifts for Transitional Families Program gathers Christmas gifts, household supplies, and personal items, and delivers them at Christmastime to families identified through the Madison Metropolitan School District’s Transition Education Program for homeless children. Participating families are homeless or have recently found housing by the time LM delivers gifts. To get involved, sign up in the Narthex to make a donation, sort gifts, knit or quilt, purchase a gift, Deliver gifts to families, or be a last minute shopper. Our Second Century

Our fall stewardship appeal for both the general ministry operating of the parish and the building fund, “Our Second Century,” will officially get underway in early November. Congregation members will be receiving a mailing the week of November 8, and all are invited to join together on Covenant Sunday on November 22 as we celebrate the festival of Christ the King and give thanks for what God continues to do for us.

Women Gathering

Women’s Gathering will be doing another month of discussion on the Walt Wangerin book Mourning into Dancing. We will be meeting on the first Wednesday of the month, a change from our usual meeting day. Sue Bangert will lead a discussion on Parts II & III of this book. Come and join in the discussion.
