Living Nativity Story

Again this year, a Living Nativity will accompany the reading of the Gospel at the 5 pm Christmas Eve service. Children are invited to dress in shepherd, sheep, or angel costumes in the Narthex. We hope adults will arrive a little early to help children costume. If you are an older youth or adult interested in dressing as Mary, Joseph, the angel of the Lord, or one of the “big” shepherds to assist the sheep, please speak to Pr. Brad.

Greening of the Nave

Join in the fun and wonderful tradition of hanging Christmas greenery in our Nave on Sunday, December 20 beginning at 5 pm. Both the Youth Choir and the Children’s Choir will be practicing during the greening of the nave. Sandy Bertics will be on hand to help the younger children make Christmas crafts in the Great Room. Beginning about 6 pm, we’ll all join together for a pot-luck dinner followed by an all parish game night. Watch for further details.

Volunteers for UW Concerts

The Worship, Music and Arts Committee is seeking volunteers for the annual UW Choral Department Winter Concerts on December 6 at 2 and 4 pm. Each year it takes approximately 12 to 15 LMC members, friends, and staff to help the Winter Concerts go smoothly.
Please sign up in the narthex for either of two shifts: 12:30-3:00 or 3:00-5:30. LM volunteers bring a personal warmth and hospitality that truly makes the afternoon a convivial community event. Contact Jon Schneider (jonmschneider@tds.net, 826-0026), Chair of the Worship, Music and Arts Committee, with questions.
