Food and Fellowship

Food and Fellowship will meet at the Dardanelles Mediterranean Restaurant at 1851 Monroe Street on Saturday, November 21 at 6:30 pm. The Dardanelles explores the land and seas of the Mediterranean basin, from Spain and Italy to Turkey and North Africa. All are welcome. Please RSVP Bill or Judy Braham at 238-7995 before Wednesday, November 18 if you are coming.

Gifts for Transitional Families

The Christmas Gifts for Transitional Families Program gathers Christmas gifts, household supplies, and personal items, and delivers them at Christmastime to families identified through the Madison Metropolitan School District’s Transition Education Program for homeless children. Participating families are homeless or have recently found housing by the time LM delivers gifts. To get involved, sign up in the Narthex to make a donation, sort gifts, knit or quilt, purchase a gift, Deliver gifts to families, or be a last minute shopper. Our Second Century

Our fall stewardship appeal for both the general ministry operating of the parish and the building fund, “Our Second Century,” will officially get underway in early November. Congregation members will be receiving a mailing the week of November 8, and all are invited to join together on Covenant Sunday on November 22 as we celebrate the festival of Christ the King and give thanks for what God continues to do for us.

Senior Day at Oakwood-West

All Saints Choral Evening Prayer

Luther Memorial is honored to have the Diocesan Choir of the Catholic Diocese of Madison participating in this service of remembrance with LM choirs. Let this occasion serve as a reminder of loved ones who are in God’s nearer presence and of the promise God has made to us, and we to God.

Sunday School Food Drive

The congregation is invited to participate in the Sunday School food drive November 8 and 15. Donated can goods may be placed in the bin in the Narthex on those Sundays. All food collected will be delivered to Porchlight.

LM Pictorial Directory

Luther Memorial will be producing its own pictorial directory. Pictures will be taken Sundays after worship at both services during the month of November. If you can’t make it to worship in November and would like to submit a digital picture via email, please contact the church office. We hope to have the new directory available early in the new year.

Walt Wangerin at Luther Memorial

Award-winning author and master storyteller Walter Wangerin will be Luther Memorial’s featured guest speaker at a congregational banquet on Saturday evening, November 7 at 6:00 pm. in the Great Room. He will also preach at both morning services on Sunday morning, Nov. 8.

This event is sponsored by the Living a Generous Life education program developed by Luther Memorial with the Lutheran Campus Center, and funded by a grant from the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
